I sent an email to Afrihost re below a week ago and received no response - EPC-560-98519
Being in the website and software development industry, I have been using Afrihost for years and, whilst receiving excellent customer service previously, have found it to be very lacking of late.
I decided to use the Afrihost mobile data offer and cancel my MTN bundle. I followed the emailed process EXACTLY and, after seeing the product loaded on my profile, assumed it was all set up and functioning.
The information provided by Afrihost was INCOMPLETE and a further step was required to change the APN. This has now cost me R3200!!!! My standard phone bill is normally R500.
I feel this was false advertising and terrible customer service provision. I am now being billed for a service from Afrihost who keep passing the buck to MTN and visa versa. This service is NOT WORKING ON MY PHONE and no one can help me so I would appreciate a refund for this.
Attempting to ue Afrihost as my service provider has cost me ALOT of money and I would advise anyone thinking of using the Mobile Data service to not take the Afrihost directives as complete and be sure they are not being billed out of bundle rates
