Having just purchased a $300 winter coat from Queenspark in Chatswood Chase shopping centre I found that NEITHER of the pockets were sewn up the jacket smelt like SMOKE and there were STAINS on the inside of the jacket!!!
I took the jacket straight back to the store and kindly asked for my money to be refunded explaining I had only taken the jacket home before realising that it was defective. The Queenspark manager of the store flat out REFUSED to refund my money telling me that there is nothing wrong with the jacket and that I "must have just changed my mind or damaged the goods myself" even though I had only had the goods in my possesion for 2 hours.
I then showed her the store policy which is clearly written on the counter that "Goods that are defective will be refunded or exchanged" She continued to deny that this was true saying that she has called the area manager and that "They do not refund under any circumstances" and that she would only refund if the whole batch of coats was defective.
