I was moving 8km and found that Citymove was the best price for me, the charge per minute and last time I moved, it took 2 hrs including travel time so I estimated that Citymove could move me in 1.5 hrs since they only start charging when they arrive on your door step. When I booked it, I told the call centre operator that I had a very tight budget and she said the guys would work with me. When they arrived, they had a look around and said they couldnt move everything with my budget so I had to get them to move the big things, like the fridge and washing machine. Then they tell me they have to charge $10 per item for wrapping. I was peeved that I'd have to fork out $60 that I couldn't afford because if I didn't get the wrapping done and they wrecked something, they wouldnt pay for the damages. I've moved several times and never wrapped my stuff so in hindsight, they must wreck stuff a lot. So they wrapped and moved stuff (and I had to pay a different removalists to move the rest of my stuff) and when they got to my new place, I noticed a tear and some stains on my ensemble and when I pointed them out to the removalists, he was rude and accused me of trying to get a discount. He wouldn't budge or admit he did it or anything. Don't use Citymove! I decided it wasn't worth chasing them after reading the reviews.
