NEVER ANYTHING WITH THE CITYMOVE REMOVALS!
THEY SIMPLY DID NOT MOVE OUR HOUSE-HOLDS BECAUSE "THEY WERE TIRED"!!!
I have moved my house a lot of times (many different cities in 4 countries), and i can confidently say that our experience with the Citymove removals was the worst one ever!!!
I wish i had seen the complaints about Citymove before i had my arrangement with them.
We have decided on Citymove to relocate our households to another suburb in the city of Perth. We made the arrangement with the Citymove around 2 weeks prior to our moving-date. They have confirmed the booking for the 12th of February over the phone, via email and via SMS. Everything looked/sounded and felt right. We were told the truck & 3 guys would arrive to our place between 11:00 am - 2:00pm of the 12th of February and that we would be advised half an hour before their arrival.
We packed our stuff and started waiting. It was 1:30pm with no news, when i called the office number, i was told "guys had another big move arranged before yours, they will come to your place once that is done, just wait another 1.5 to 2 hours".
A bit confused with their reply and trying to keep our moods up, we kept waiting. When i called them again after 2 hours, Ben told me "the other move is not yet done, how about we move your objects tomorrow?". I replied "no way, new tenants will come to this house tomorrow, our move has to happen today, everything is packed". Then he replied "it may be another 2 hours but we will move it today".
At 5:00pm, our door bell rang. Steve & his friend was at our door, had a quick look at our objects. (Fairly small amount of households). He told me "ok i will call you back in 10 to 15 minutes", and drove away in the tiny truck that they came with. After an hour, i called Steve only to listen "look, we are very tired, there is nothing we can do but to move your objects tomorrow".
Frustrated & desperate of the fact that they simply were not doing what was arranged, at 6:30pm, i started to call other removal companies/people from the phone book, explaining the situation, and literally "begging" for help.
The move was complete by the next morning 10am. (Of course with another removal company). Having such last-minute arrangement cost me around double of what it would cost me if i had arranged it earlier.
Citymove removals simply did not do our move, and having tried to do our move with them cost me double of a normal removal arrangement -given the reason above-.
DO NOT -UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES- ARRANGE A REMOVAL SERVICE WITH THE CITYMOVE REMOVALS.
