The anti carbon tax ads from Australian Trande & Industry alliance seem to contain lies about carbon tax facts. They claim that Australian carbon tax would be the highest in the world. Australia would have a tax of $26 per tonne CO2 and for example Sweden have $101 per tonne Co2 according to wikipedia.
The statement that "Australia produce less than 1.5 % of the worlds carbon dioxide emissions" would be an argument for taking drastic measuresto reduce the emissions. The share should be something like 0.4% (Australias population divided by the global poipulation). In the ad the statement is misleading.
