IP Banned for no reason

I have been IP banned from http://au.gamespot.com/ for no reason. I had never been on the site, the first time I clicked on a link to the site I got the following error-
403 - Forbidden
Access blocked due to unusual activity from your network.
Please contact CBS Interactive for further assistance.

And in the address bar- http://au.gamespot.com/error/ip_ban.html

I have tried to contact CBS Interactive but have had no response.
I am confused as to why I have been banned from a site I had never used and it is extremely hard to contact anyone willing to resolve the issue.
