On the 13/3/09 I went to Macdonalds at Marsden for my grandsons 4th birthday party. when we got there the party was not set up & there were people eating in the party room. My daughter went to the counter & said she was there for the 4.00pm party, but was told there wasn'nt one. After looking in there diary discovered that there was one, ours. All the tables & floor was covered in food & no attempt to clean them was made. They brought in a few balloons & a very young girl who had no idea what she was meant to do. The food finally arrived only to discover that they don't give the kids the happy meal toy at parties anymore, so we had a whole lot of unhappy kids on our hands. Then came the pass the parcel game & when each child opened a layer they were gived a voucher to come back at another time, we were all horrified to discover they all went out of date in so were no good to us anyway. The excuse they gave us that they didn't know the party was on was, the party was booked after the rosters had been done. It is such a shame that they spent all that money on renervations but forgot the main ingredient CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been in the hospitality industry for 35 years & am Catering Manager for a Bording School in Brisbane & i was so discusted by the way my daughter was treated. I know we will not be back.
