I have just experienced the worst in store customer service at the Morisset MacDonalds. At 7.45pm I popped into the reatuarant to pick up a quick take away meal. When I got into the restaurant there was only one register open and about 10 custumers waiting. While a group of young people were being served atleast two of the staff (one named Kathryn) were busy flirting with and chatting to the group of teenage customers and at one stage, a staff member threw a cup under the drink machine, only to miss while continuing to chat happily to her friends on the other side of the counter. The girl serving looked obviously flustered. It was not long before the line of 10 customers grew to about 15. At no time was another register opened even though there appeared to be adequate staff. Staff appeared to be taking it in turns to serve, rather than opening another register. There were several complaints in the customer line up and one customer requested that the duty manager, Jade, answer his complaints about the length of time service was taking. Another customer commented that it would have been quicker to travel to Tuggerah or Toronto MacDonalds. After 20 minutes I finally had my meal. This was too long a period of time to wait in my opinion. There seemed to be very poor staff organisation and the young staff serving, especially the staff member, Kathryn, appeared to busy chatting to each other and the younger customers rather than providing quick, quality service. I certainly wont be going to MacDonalds on a Friday night at Morisset again. After speaking to several other of the customers in line I am certain that I will not be the only one. Duty Manager's name was Jade.
