I have been leasing products with radio rentals Maryborough for 9 years. I rented a washing machine fridge and freezer and then a laptop and printer. I was happy with the service I received until while renting the laptop and printer I asked for my laptop to be fixed. The screen was black and i couldnt get the laptop going so i phoned radio rentals at Maryborough to ask them if I could get my laptop fixed. Thats when my troubles started. I spent over an hour on the phone to them and they only argued with me and told me that I would have to fix 4 keys that were broken and I know that it was my fault the keys were broken. It was going to cost me 200 dollars to get the keys fixed and I couldnt afford to get that done. Also i had bought another cord and charger for my laptop because I had lost the original while moving house. Again I realise it was my own fault. I didnt get anywhere with them they continued to argue with me about the keys and cord and charger. My daughter spoke to them as well and didnt get anywhere either. I was also told that when my laptop and printer were delivered to me that if anything at all needed fixing to call them and it would be fixed regardless if it were my fault or not and I have a witness to verify that. When I finished talking to them I was hysterical and crying and very distressed. I have chronic depression and its no excuse I know but I threw the laptop in the bin. A few weeks after that radio rentals bought over another laptop to me but I couldnt have it because I had thrown the other laptop out and it was very stupid of me I know. Then I went and seen them at the store sometime after that and they told me they were waiting to get an ex rental laptop for me and as soon as they got one they would deliver it to me. I asked them if I could buy an ex rental and they said there were none. I found out today from the website that you can buy ex rentals. I was doing a childcare course at the time and I needed a laptop and I told them this. I borrowed my daughters laptop for a while but it was too inconvenient so I gave up the course. I have phoned radio rentals on several occasions and asked them if they had found an ex rental and they kept telling they were still waiting on one and assured me they would deliver one to me as soon as they got one. I phoned them today because my contract is almost finished and they told me Iam not getting my laptop replaced but they want me to get another one and another three year contract. I dont expect anything to be done for me by putting in this complaint but I hope the managing director sees this complaint because he says radio rentals gives you a fair go and they dont. I believe I was a loyal customer and I know I shouldnt have thrown the laptop but they shouldnt have kept telling me that they were going to replace my laptop when clearly they werent. They also shouldnt have told me there were no ex rentals that I could buy when there were. I hope someone in radio rentals will the decency and respect to help me with another laptop or at least respond to my compaint please.
