Ooked a night fishing charter for 9 people and paid a deposit of $450 with a balance of $350 remaining.received a receipt stating the date of the booked fishing trip.
on the morning of the fishing charter, my wife received a phone call stating that we hadnt turned up and the proprieter had been waiting quite a while for us.i was at work that morning.i rang him when i got home only to be told he wasnt happy and i had wasted his time, but his wife admitted that she accidentally wrote down the wrong time, so we rescheduled.
the next date came and he rang to say that the weather wasnt the best and could we reschedule again.we did and that day again came by and he rang again to say the weather was no good.he asked whether i would like to reschedule or would i like my money back.i opted for my money back, but to this day, i still havent seen my money, and its been over a year and a half now.
i took him to the consumer, trader and tenancy tribunal and won but he still never came up with my money and it would have cost me more to keep on pursuing it.
