We were sucked in by these people & bought a "program" whereby we would receive betting selections each Saturday. They rarely worked.
When we complained about the poor performance, they told us we had bought the wrong program & then tried to "upsell" us to a better (more expensive) program.
We have lodged a Formal Claim with the local Magistrates Court, seeking refund of purchase price. According to the Consumer Affairs Department in Queensland, we are entitled to a refund on the basis of the product does not do the job we were led to believe they would. See below for excerpt from their website.
When am I entitled to a refund, repair or exchange?
As a consumer, you are legally entitled to a refund, exchange or repair from the place of purchase if goods:
had a fault you did not know when you bought it
were not the same as the seller or advertisement described
dont do the job you were led to believe they would
dont match the sample
dont last a reasonable amount of time, given the price you paid.
