I just noticed today that a bogus transaction took place on my credit card from BILLINGHLP.COM PALMA DE MALL for $39 AUS. Not happy!
After google searching 'Palma De Mall' I discovered this site (complaint) and can see this hasnt only happened to me in Australia.
After contacting my credit card company, they we able to tell me this company is listed as a marketing company / catalogue merchant, and had only just changed their name from BILLINGSCV.COM.
I have now discovered they have been making unauthorised deductions from my credit card for the last two months.
From looking into BILLINGSCV.COM on this website I can see that this 'company' also had a complaint lodged previously.
For some background info, I visited a website a few months back and paid a one off 'trial' fee to access antivirus software. This site ended up being bogus as did any software, and I went through the process on the site to unsubscribe which was all completed.
Needless to say, they have continued to milk money off my credit card, and are now making deductions it off my card from a catalogue / marketing company!
If this isnt a scam I dont know what is!
So, I have now had to cancel my credit card and raise a dispute with the credit card company... investigations from their end could take upto 3 months so as you can imagine I am not happy.
