Used an (AFRA) member last year to move interstate, removalist failed in his requirements as outlined by AFRA's code of conduct for member's. No signed contract, condition's of contract, or insurance before we left etc etc. Made a complaint to AFRA to which they twisted every detail of our complaint around, failed to show us information as to why they made the decision against my family, verbally tell you one thing and then do another. They get paid a bond by the removalist, so it seems they will side with the removalist regardless. We have EVERY piece of paper to prove our case against removalist and why it cost us $8, 000 instead of $4, 000 to move. BEWARE of making a complaint to the management at AFRA because when they hold a tribunal into the complaint all of your information suddenly disappears. They even claim the removalist paid for storage at one point when we have the receipt for it. My family and I tried every avenue for answers and they simply shut the door in your face. We were going to use the remaining money to start fresh in Queensland and for our son's surgery. We had to borrow instead. THANKS AFRA.
