Terrible Service

We were due to fly home Sunday, 12/12/10 on the 2pm flight to Adelaide from Melbourne, was told at 1:30pm that the flight was cancelled and they "might" be able to get us home on the 9pm flight Monday night. Was offered no compensation but a refund will be issued in 3-6 weeks if we want, the answer to that was simple. Had to book new flights with Virgin, who were absolutely terrific, at a cost of $ 800 for 2 tickets, Tiger were immune to resolving the extra costs but told us they would 'try' to book us some accomodation if we like, at our cost of course. Tiger state they do not have a web complaints page anymore, i now can understand why.
Pay the extra with a recognised carrier as aleast you can be assured they will get you home.
