Harrasing my 80 year old Mum for credit card details

My 80 year old mother who has just lost her life long partner received a phone call at 9.30pm from a call centre and although she could barely understand them they kept harrasing her to type eventvpr in the run menu on her computer and to provide her with credit card details which she niavely did, thinking they were trying to fix her computer. Not realising this was supposedly to make cheap calls to the US - something she has never done in her life. Apparently a no of times she explained that she could not understand them and please call her son (me) but they insisted this was not necessary (of course). After the call she called me up in tears and most distressed and I subsequently cancelled her credit card (major hassle). They rang back again 2 days later. I have tried calling them to get them to stop harrasing my Mum. Has not worked so far and now she is afraid to even answer the phone. Not happy.
