Didn't receive item, didn't respond to emails

I ordered a dvd boxset costing $50 from on March 20th. On March 28th I was emailed to say my item had been posted and to allow 1-3 weeks for delivery as they are based in the US, putting deliver date at April 18th at the latest. I waited until April 25th to contact SurferDVD to ensure I had given the postal service enough time to deliver my item, however SurferDVD didn't respond to my email (despite their 'your order has shipped' confirmation email stating "Our support department is available 24 Hours a day, 7 Days a Week and our #1 priority is your satisfaction"). I emailed them again on April 29th however they did not reply. I now believe that this company is a scam and that they never posted my item. Is there any way they can be made to refund my money?
Also, although they are 'SurferDVD' my bank statement lists them as 'MOBILE BIZ SOLUTION.CA BURLINGTON ON CAN'. So I would warn anyone to avoid anything trading under the name 'SurferDVD' or 'Mobile Biz Solution'.
