Was called up this morning to be told I had won a holiday, but had to pay for 15% of the trip. I was very sceptical although unfortunately gave out my Visa details (not the security code). They way they told me was that it was my choice to take the package and accept it or not accept it. I basically told them I would need to see something in writing before I accept the trip.
I ran to my internet banking as I had a bad feeling about it and they had taken $1, 100 AUD from my account already. When I had a go at the guy on the phone, telling him I did NOT accept the trip and they had no right to deduct the amount until AFTER I had seen something in writing. The guy told me that I had 30 days to get a refund if I decide against taking...
I don't think that will be an option some how - just be careful people - I have leared an expensive lesson today...
