My partner and I bought a queen size Kings Coil mattress and a wooden based bed from Harvey Norman for our new house. It's been a disaster from the word go. First of all they delivered a damaged bed telling us it'll be replaced the following week. I didn't bother putting it together because it would take up room without a mattress, which didn't arrive until two weeks after purchase. After yet another week of waiting for the new bed the salesman told me that the bed hadn't been delivered to the warehouse and that I should put up the damaged one in the meantime. But after I had the bed head screwed in I realised they had given me the wrong bolts for the bottom frame. So I improvised with some bolts that didn't really fit figuring that it'll be replaced soon anyway. But when I went to put the slats on, which btw look like they were taken off the street, half of them are too short! So after paying $1299 for a bed base this is the quality of workman/(person) ship we're paying for? It's absolutely disgraceful. For the time and trouble it took I could have built a bed base.
