1. I took my car to Col Crawford Narrabeen for a service on 5/9/25 and asked them to repair the back door handle
2. they told me that within 2 weeks they would contact me when the part was ready.
3. After 3 weeks, on 26/9/25 I hadnt heard so rang to ask for an update and was told that it would be ready on Monday 29/9/25 and I should ring to check.
4. A few minutes later I received a phone call to say that actually it had never been ordered and they had no record of it. So they requested me to bring the car for them to look at and to let them know 30 minutes to an hour before I was arriving so they could be ready
5. At 2.45 pm I messaged them that I would arrive around 4 pm.
6. I arrived at 4.08 pm, to be told that the service people had had a very busy day and signed off at 4 pm and so could not look at my car so I should come back next week.
So my COMPLAINT IS FOR LACK OF SERVICE, LACK OF FOLLOW UP, WRONG INFORMATION, UNHELPFUL TREATMENT AND LACK OF SYMPATHY AND UNDERSTANDING. IF THEY WERENT GOING TO LOOK AT MY CAR AFTER 4 PM THEY SHOULD HAVE SENT ME A MESSAGE TO TELL ME. AS AN OLDER (75 YEARS) PERSON, IT IS SOME EFFORT TO DRIVE THERE REPEATEDLY AND I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED MORE CARE AND UNDERSTANDING AND FOR SOMEONE AT LEAST TO COME AND LOOK AT THE DOOR HANDLE WHICH WOULD HAVE TAKEN A MATTER OF MINUTES. IT HAS BEEN A GREAT INCONVENIENCE NOT TO BE ABLE TO USE THE BACK PASSENGER DOOR ON THE CURB SIDE AS IT HAS MEANT ACCESSING IT FROM THE ROADSIDE.
