Today I opened my creditcard bill, and as I looked at the statement I see 3 charges by datesnow pty ltd.($1.97, $29.98 on 01/02, & $19.98 on 01/22). I must say I was very confused. When I saw this I could not remember ever seeing this name before. Furthermore there is no phone number to contact this company to see why they feel justified to charge me 3 times in 20 days for something I never got to use, whatever that may be.
I thought a few minutes, and decided to search the net for the company named on my bill. The search came up nill on the full name, so I typed in "datesnow". This 2nd search came up with this consumer complaints site.com, with another person claiming similar dealings with these shady australians. After reading his report, I figured it was a site that said it was free, but needed my creditcard for age verification. I vaguely remember one that I never got onto because of so called "server problems", so I went on my way. I guess the lesson here is nothing is free, and I for one am all done being curious about these stupid sites. I'm glad I found this site, and found out these people are thieving bastards, and it wasn't just me! Well I'm off to call my creditcard company, hopefully I can get somewhere!
