I went to this car yard in good faith, i am a single mother of an Asd child and receive a sole parent pension. I owned a car out rite i owed nothing on it, but it had problems to many to list. Being a sole parent i didnt have the money to carry out repairs, or purchase another car with out help, this company Just Good Cars advertised in our local paper, stating they helped sole parents they state (Hard fort finance) Helps you get on with life. I went to the car yard & applied for finace not knowing what they were really doing, i was approved BUT i had to give them my car as a deposit on the other car i wanted, so i thought ok, to cut a long story short i get the car i want sign al the papers etc, & im off happy as larry, 12 months down the track i struggle to make a payment here & there, but always rang them to work it out, they were happy with this as long as i stayed intouch. So last week i get a knock at the door by the car company stating i was $100 behind in payments & to pay up or they were taking the car, i asked the guy did he have a court order. He said NO he didnt need one why Because i dont own the car im not ever going to own it because its a rental? To my horror i was totaly shocked, i thought i was buying the car and if its a renatl why did they take my other car for a trade in why also do i need to pay for registration of the so called rental & comprehensive insurance, and also pay for any repairs needed?
If this car is a rental should they not be the ones that have to register it & do the maintnace & insure it, Since when is it up to the consumer to pay for all on road cost for a rental. I have been riped off manipulated lied to and cheated, im paying for a car that they can take away from at any time, no matter how much i pay them even if i pay out the value of the car, they can make me pay for it 10 times over because they state its a rental. I would never have given them my original car as a trade in had i have known it was a rental that i was getting. They know i need a car to get my son to & from his hospital appointments & to get him from home to school to special ed, to do every day things. They have ripped me off & they will keep doing it to innocent people. I intend to take them to court they need to be stopped how many others have been cheated & put into debt they cant afford, and struggle to meet repayments not knowing they will never own that car. COMPLETE RIP OFFS
