Faulty product

I bought an Android Tablet from Dino Direct. Two months after purchase the tablet won't turn on. I contacted Dino Direct to fix, replace or refund my money. They told me they would give me a $20 voucher and that I should get the tablet fixed myself as it would take them too long to fix it. Are these companies allowed to sell products and have no warranty?? Please warn others about this companies dodgy dealings.
