I visited Healesville Santuary yesterday with my small nephew and niece, sister and my nieces. We were thoroughly disappointed firstly, the price especially during the week days. $58 adult, $29 child and for myself and my sister who are pensioners $43. That is way too expensive as there was nothing much too see. Hardly any animals: 2 Koalas, half a dozen kangaroos not much else. I have attended there many times last being about 8 years ago. It was really welcoming and lots of animals. It was also very tidy and so nice but I found it very messy and not pleasant to be there. The next thing was the food, very expensive...$12 for a large chips which were cold and soggy. I am Diabetic so asked for skim milk coffee which they did not have skim milk, so bought a wine which barely touched the glas for $13.00. It was a very expensive ad disappointing day.
