What can I say about this man...?
Two years ago, Neil Chow waltzed into our lives as a designer for our new office fitout. He claimed to be a top designer. He was to project manage the whole fitout, including builders and furniture.
The builder he hired was dodgy. He ruined the Italian laminate for the desktops. He didn't cash flow the project properly, so builders would walk off the job when they weren't being paid. We had to finish the job ourselves at extra expense. His name was Chris Burgess.
The furniture he said he had bought for us (which we paid considerably for) did not turn up. He made excuses for a month about it, finally giving in that he spent the money we gave him for the furniture, and couldn't afford to pay it back. We were left with a bare office.
Dept of Fair Trading are unable to help us because it is over $20,000, and considered commercial (despite the fact that we funded this personally). Our lawyer says it's not worth pursuing in the courts because Neil Chow has no assetts, and we will be forced to pay court fees, which will amount to $30,000.
Do NOT hire Neil Chow. Do NOT give him money, it will go up his nose.
