This is a very clever ripoff. I ordered a poster from allposters.com.au over the internet. It was late arriving despite my having paid $28.50Au for what I assumed was air freight delivery. After 10 days it had still not arrived and they explained that it was a bulk delivery. After 20 days still no poster. During the same period I also ordered some track pants from the UK (delivery costs 15 GBP) which arrived from half way around the world in 8 days.
After 25 days the poster finally arrived. So what these guys are doing is charging excessive costs for delivery (air freight rates) and delivering at substantially reduced bulk carriage rates and pocketing the difference. Very cynical and of course this just about doubles their profitability on every item. Multiply this up on every order and this could well be a million dollar scam. Nice work all posters.com.au.
