I recently got an enrollment form for before and after school care from the school office for my child starting school next year. I took it home and read it and it had hardly any information about the service. I tried calling the number to contact them a number of times and there was no answer. I then emailed them asking questions about Vacation Care and what they offer for Breakfast and morning tea, what there ratios are and if they do excursions. I also enquired about my autistic nephew who attends a special school, i asked if he was able to attend on Vacation Care as ive seen excursions before with other OSHCs, children with special needs included. I never got a reply which i find quite offensive and discriminating! They couldnt even reply saying yes or no for my nephew to come! Has anyone else had problems with helping hands? Ive noticed they are taking over alot of schools and if they cant even have the customer service to reply to my email or answer the phone to me how can you trust leaving your child in there care knowing you might not be able to contact them!!
