I was contacted via email by Barrister Henry Preston notifying me that I had won 700, 000 pounds. I replied, with scepticism, but was reassured that this was real and legitimate. I googled the name and found the information to be reasonable. I also googled the courier company and found that they were also legitimate. I sent the required payment of $ 1, 100AUD and was told the cheque would be sent tome on a specific date.
I then recieved an email from the Customs and Internal Revenue stating that I required a Non Resident Tax Certificate to release the funds from Customs in London. The email was sent by a person called Sir Andrew Oil. I replied stating that I had no more money to send them and asked what was going on. I have recieved no further correspondence from either of the men for the last 2 weeks. I hoope this complaint prevents anyone else being sucked into this particular scam.
