In 2006 i was approached by a representative from Paul Roberts Modelling Agency, i was given his business card and went through an interview with him. Paul is a great conman, he promised modelling opportunities and raved about his models and the work that they got. He charged my parents $2000 for 'professional photography' and a portfolio and to attend his 'catwalk classes'. My first photoshoot, now that i think back was a complete joke. He was the camera man and makeup artist and my parents had to drive us to the locations around melbourne, going to various hotels and docklands. Once those photos came out, they were totally unedited and not 'model like' at all. He had no idea what to do with the posing and i felt completely uncomfortable. My second photoshoot was unplanned and not professional. it was taken by a 'photographer' down in the lobby of his office. Then, the lighting went out as it automatically turns off at 8pm. Paul forgot to mention this, so i had to take to liberty of getting my portfolio photos done in the mail room. It was hopeless. Needless to say, Paul promised to give me those photos a week later.. 4 years on i still have not received them, after countless emails he responded that the photographer had 'lost' my photos. I had never heard from him again. YOUNG GIRLS MUST BE WARNED THAT PAUL ROBERTS CAN NOT BE TRUSTED.
