Franchising Fraud ripoff Victoria

In 2003 we had to sell our franchise but that was not easy. When we did find someone Midas would only agree to the sale if we signed a confidentiality agreement and one that waived our right to any future action against them and a guarantee that we would not help any of the other franchisees in any action. They made it clear that if we went back on anything we had agreed on they would send their lawyers after us and we would be cleaned out.

I feel pretty bad about the couple that bought our franchise because now they tell me they have lost everything. I had to look after my family and I would do the same thing again. There was a group trying to stop Midas when I was there and I was helping when I could but the ACCC would not help and the Americans would not help and I knew I did not have much time before it was too late.

They tell me that there are still a lot trying to stop Midas but most of the franchisees are just hanging on. Its a bloody sick old world that lets people like Midas stay in business and snuff out families one after another. The families suffer in more ways than people can imagine. Its not just the money they lose.
