Everyone one of these store closures represents the end of someone's dream of being in business for himself, and all the associated trauma that follows: bankruptcy, stress, depression, failed relationships the whole box and dice. And bear in mind this is only the current situation it says nothing of the 80 to 100 Midas franchise failures that have happened since Phillip Bonney took over. But it's all turned around now things are so bad that he is finding it hard to get more suckers to buy his franchises, and he is stuck with either paying the rent on a closed shop, or trying to run it himself as a company shop inevitably at a loss. You cannot run a Midas franchise and make a profit even the company cannot.
