Samsung - Refrigerator
Known Faults not advised

Shops, Products, Services

5 months outside of my warranty period the refrigerator part of my Samsung SR394NW stops working. After having a refrigerator repairman come to look at the problem, I'm advised that the Heater which allows for the continual spinning of the fan to pump cold air into the fridge has broken, and needs to be replaced. The repairman also told me that this is a known fault with these exact Samsung Fridges, and is the second he's had to fix today. Why, if Samsung are aware of the fault, is a recall not done on the product? Why are customers not advised and given the option to have it 'fixed' before there's a problem or given their money back? Now I have had to pay out an extra $300 to fix the fridge, to which Samsung can do nothing about and it's just my bad luck. I won't be buying ANY Samsung product ever again and telling everyone I know to do the same.
