As an avid fan of My Kitchen Rules I am very disappointed that the producers of the show feel it necessary to take away from the true content of the show (that being the love of cooking) by portraying some of the contestants as negative, bullying individuals. I understand ratings are important for the success of any show but surely the producers have an obligation to uphold those standards the governments, organisations, parents and children deem important in today's societies.
This season of MKR portrays bullying constantly (the Chinese girls toward the Italian girls) and previously the Indian girls.
The comment in last nights show that topped it for me was when one of the Chinese girls stating that one of the Italian girls " she's just dumb". In a time when bullying is such a controversial issue that we are trying to stamp out why would any show encourage this type of behaviour, or perhaps stage this (not sure that all that occurs on this show is not be arranged by the producers). Channel 7 & MKR lift your game and rethink what the true intent of this show is, take some responsibility. We all know that social media has a strong influence on people emotions.
