We decided to give a young bloke ago, we heard his cabinetry work was of a high quality, he started out on his own, he should of stuck with working with someone else. No People/communication skills, very beligurent and a stubborn young fella withy no experiance in running his own business. Yep probably our fault for giving the guy a go with out previous experiance, but thats what we are like.
The red flag should have made us more aware when he forged the BSA document and demanded monies prior to when they were due, I called him and questioned his invoice prior to him striking a blow, he explained that since he was new in the trade he needed some working capital, We explained to him that he should have told us that prior to sending us a bodgy invoice, again to help the bloke out we surrended 10K out so that he could continue the work (it was a kitchen renovation worth about 75K including fittings) upon his contracted part we pointed out some fundemental errors that he had made and we were happy to assist in their rectification of the same, the fridge didn't fit to specification, the rangehood didn't fit over the gas top, the wife could not place anything in the microwave it was close to ceiling height, hre recommended a reconstituted stone product instead of the wifes preference being granite, it was later found out that the product he reccommended was not UV resistant which was a necessatity because the the benchtops extended to the servery on the verandahs. Apart from all the above we were happy to negotiate to get to the kitchen that we had ordered, in the end it went to court and he lost about 8k. DO NOT USE THE GUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, HE IS NOT FROM THIS PLANET!!!
