Email has been hacked

A couple of days ago I had a hotmail account - groovetraxx@hotmail.com which I also used for Facebook. I ended up not being able to get into it using my regular password and then found an identity had taken over my Facebook site. I have recently reported this to Facebook, but I also want hotmail to do something.
