Slamming charges for unauthorized services Ripoff

I started receiving messages from CelltoneClub that I never authorized. On my October and November Verizon Wireless bills, I received charges of about $40 for "premium text messaging services".

I called Verizon to dispute the charges and was told "there's nothing we can do- these charges are from another company". I continued my dispute by filing a complaint with Nevada's Attorney General.

The Attorney General's office opened an inquiry into the matter, and Verizon then decided to credit my account for the $40.

The matter is still pending investigation as far as Nevada's Attorney General's Office is concerned, as they may pusue Verizon Wireless for its role in possible violations of Nevada's deceptive trade law.
