It is only possible from blend of love and passion. We have been building models since 1991 and today we have the experience and engineering as a leading company to produce the world's finest models. Our specialty is making plank on frame models from wood. We have spent years on R&d towards our models.We started making models in a small workshop in the 1990's and the demand grew for our quality models and we expand the operation and yachtsdownunder was formed.We apply the same concept in making our models as shipbuilders do. We design our model using 3D CAD/cam softwares to produce a virtual prototype from a detailed ship's plans. This ensures high levels of accuracy in our models. Once our virtual prototype is approved by our clients would we then make the prototype. From the time we roll out the plans to finishing the prototype models, it may take up to 2 years depending on the level of details required.Most of our model components are produced in Australia, Germany any other parts of the world to our specifications.In all a team of 60(and growing) highly skilled people ranging from modellers, toolmaker to engineers.At present we have many models in progress ranging from the prestigious j class yachts to luxury passenger liners like the famous titanic. We also design and produce radio controlled wooden models to compete against the fiberglass models. Our most prestigious project at present is the making of a brass plated hull 1:48(approx18 feet) scale working triple steam engine model of the titanic where cost is not a considered factor.
