The companies address on its former website lists it as being in the suburb of Doncaster, however the ASIC listing has it registered in the suburb of Templestowe, Victoria.

Fraudulent credit card transaction processor, posted a charge of AUD 18.73 to my card at 0515 AWSDT on 16 November.

Have not dealt with this company before, have not made a transaction close to this amount, or used any site which listed them as a merchant processor.

According to the senior duty officer of the Fraud team at my bank (Westpac Banking Corporation) to which I have just spoken, they have a rather large file on this company although previously had not made the connection between their current trading name (EWC Payments) and their former name (Edelweisscard Pty Ltd) despite this information being available in the companies Australian Securities and Investments Commission listing (Accessible at http://www.search.asic.gov.au/cgi-bin/gns030c? acn=122161737&juris=9&hdtext=ACN&srchsrc=1)

If you ever have charges from this company, immediately contact the Credit Card service centre for your bank to make a fraudulent transaction report. If you ever see this company listed as the transaction processor/merchant for a web site you are visiting or listed as the entity which will appear on your statement, do not process the transaction and exit immediately.
