Did not Receive/Unauthorised Transaction

I authorised a $1.00 transaction on my credit card and then was charged a further $43 on top of that which I did not authorise. I have since closed of my credit card however I am not impressed at all and consider this to be notice that I am not interested in continuing with anything this company has to offer and that I never signed up for additional credit transactions.
