My mother received a letter identical to the letter others report they they are getting. My mother can't use a computer, but I can use one well enough to find reports of scams and know how to look into things like this. My mom enters so many contest and at her age (88 years old) she thinks most are related in some way.

This is a scam and this site with all of these reports proves what I expected. Now to be sure she doesn't send them any money.

The letter my mother received stated that she had won a guaranteed amount of $5000.00.
The letter had a simple test to pass (20 5= 25 21 23). You circle the right answer and return the letter. This is only one step. They always want money from the recipient and frankly, they don't care how they get it.
