I had the worst experience in a long time at the Waterfront Country Road shop on the evening of 28 February.
I arrived happy and rearing to go. We had just bought tickets to a movie I direly wanted to see and quickly had to exchange the clothes (R3600) I bought my husband 2 weeks previously. Everything just 1 size bigger - easy peasy!! - I walked away more than 2 hrs later - too late for the movie - with no energy left, too tired to talk, totally confused and frustrated and thinking to myself - maybe I'll wake up, maybe its just a nightmare - but it wasn't.
Nobody lost their tempers but we had reached stalemate as nobody knew what to do. We wanted to exchange 2 jerseys, 2 chinos, 2 shirts and a pair of shoes. Suddenly the cashier and his assistant knew of only one jersey. First it was the blue V- neck they remembered, and then I pointed out the red V-neck that hadn't been returned to the shelf. Then it was only the red V-neck they remembered. My daughter suggested they check the video and this they did, twice. And every time they returned and confirmed that we had only 6 items. I cannot afford to lose R599, so I decided to stand my ground; we had 2 jerseys The mana
