I purchased a voucher from RSA for a family photoshoot. I asked the photographer at the time how he presented the photos, specifically asking whether he provides the digital prints, online, on disc etc. I never received a firm yes or no to this question and assumed that he was just being casual and "marketing" orientated when he mentioned portraits. He never once mentioned the costs thereof. The costs are not disclosed on his website either. Upon booking the photoshoot I was told that the costs started at $250 for an A4 print. To my mind this is a large sum of money for an A4 picture. At that rate the family MAY consider walking away with only 1 picture each and feel ripped off as well. Alternatively they would spend an hour having the photos taken and walk away with nothing - obviously that does not make sense. After emails between myself and photographer he doesnt seem to get the point that the family is not prepared to pay for pictures at his prices. The photographer refuses to return the funds despite not having done any work for it nor having to having to do any work in future for the funds. In my mind this amounts to *****. In RSA there is a Consumer Protection Act for exactly this.
