Giorgio Armani Designer - NOT!! Reportage Giorgio Armani Rip Off! As of 1st December, 06 - the guy is in

If only I had had the time to google this info FIRST! Yup, yesterday, we got taken for a ride.

A well-presented, Italian speaking guy gave my hubby and I the very same story. Need to get to back to Italy tomorrow. He had been in Melbourne selling the jackets to retail store "David Jones", and was heading up to Sydney right now. The jackets he had were samples that the company were going to give to him anyway. BUT one very distinct change to the story (and something that should have alerted me at the time). 'I'm not a sales man, I'm a designer'!! What the hell is a DESIGNER for Armani doin driving up to Sydney from Melbourne (approx 8 hr drive), in a teeny little euro-car, trying to sell jackets cos the taxes were too high?

It was all too good to be true. He met my hubby at a petrol station, showed his passport, I.D.; I thought that I would be wiser if I got him bought back to our home (which is off the main h/way to Sydney), but I was taken in by his story too. We used some of the money that we had saved for an end of year holiday to Brisbane - AUD$750.00 and ended up with 8 jackets. We were hoping to recoup the money spent, and maybe make a little more by selling them (as originals) on Ebay. As soon as i logged into Ebay i knew something was wrong. No one sells Armani for $125.00!! Anyway, we'll be lucky if we get half of our money back, unless we rip people off ourselves!

There are quite a few Melbournians with 'Armani' leather jackets for sale - I suppose we've all been taken for a ride.

I suppose, at the end of the day, 8 leather jackets - even fake Armani's for $750 isn't too bad, but we're just an average working class family with 3 kids - one autistic (all of whom he met), and I don't think we would have even spent $100.00 on ONE jacket let alone EIGHT!
Luckily we got a photo of the guy. I think I'll call TODAY/TONIGHT (current affairs show in Oz, for all you others!)
KEEP SAFE!
